PLN Reactions

I think that i did good on my PLN. I think that i need to reply on my notes a little more like mostly about everyone said. Also i think that i did a good job and connections to pln's and explaining them. So all i really need to improve is less use of my notes.

PLN 18

Wow this seemed like a really good idea. If they wanted to ban cell phones give them ones from the school that way the teacher can always tell them about upcoming assignments and other stuff via cell phone. Also is it nice that they will be able to get more and more minutes for good behavior and stuff like that because then they never have to buy more minutes.

PLN 15 Semester 2

Mr. FischThis post was really interesting for me to read. Hearing about it really makes you realize that we are all seperated so much but can come together with all the common things that we ahve in this worls. It also showed how countries support other countries by singing their national anthem. The videos were very good and inspire very well. Great post!

Semester 2 Pln 15

This post really made me realize something. We are all head deep in technology all the time in our lives. It is also nice like you said to be screen free sometimes it just gives us time to think and not always in front of technology. Then as us also said right when you would get back you never realize who much you really do in a week cause when you come back you have to check it all. It also sounds like you had fun playing guitar hero over there for a while.

Semester 2 PLN 13

I think that the dropping of a couple of the classes could be a great idea. One reason for me is that it might help focus on more of the other subjects that are more videly used by students. Also there could be other of the same classes that are offered they just dropped these ones because there was not enough students wanted to take these classes. So in the end dropping these classes might not be a bad idea it could actually help the school in the end.

Semester 2 PLN 12

This week I read an article called Officials ID bicyclist killed by postal truck. This article is about how a 39 year old mail carrier Maria Dawson was on here way back from her route when he truck went out of control and his 53 year old Shahram Moghadamnia. After he was hit the truck skid of the road and rolled. Drug and or alcohol was believed to be a leading factor in the cause of the accident. Shahram Moghadamnia also worked at coors brewery and ran an electrical engineering business out of his house. This relates to me because my dad is a mail carrier and even though I know that he would not drink on the job or do drugs accidents could happen that could ruin someones life. This relates to the world because even though he was riding his bike just like he did every day does not mean that he can talk his life for granted because it ended so fast and to unexpectidly.

Semester 2 PLN 10

Today I read an article called West light rail may devour 10 Lakewood properties. This talks about how Rtd wants to demolish about ten homes and businesses in order to make a four story 1000 apce parking garage. Each owner would recieve about $200000 plus more from rtd. All of these homeowners are fighting but they really can not win. This may matter because it shows that they may be building more public transportation to help stop pollution. This matters to me because I use to light rail a lot and this will get me even more places.

Semester 2 PLN 9

This week I read an article named Charges allege baby drank meth from bottle. This talks about how a 27 year old mother says she accidentally mixed her babies food with some meth that she had recently bought. The baby was later admitted to the hospital with seisures and other abnormal actions. This matters because even if this was in deed an accident, how easy she thinks she should get off after her baby has suffered. This also shows that parents are not really worried about their kids doing drugs if they are doing meth and other illegal drugs rigth at there house and getting them mixed up.

Semester 2 PLN 8

This week I read an Article Called Teens Get $505000 in Harassment Settlement. This was made as a 24 year old employee made sexual harassment acts mainly against two of the four victims. In the end they wil end up spliting $505000 for their pain and suffering. This matters because even of the high peice people still are doing this today but maybe because of the high price it will lower the numbers.

SEMESTER 2 PLN 7

This week I read an article called Hotels are wising up, providing Wii Sports and Guitar Hero to bored guests. Its about how hotel are figuring out we are not living in the 90s with the old n64s or sega. They have started to figurte out that we live in a very electronic world and we are looking for the latest and greatest gaming technology. Even though they have figured it out still the price is at a very high price and in some places $50 dollars and hour. So this is important because it shows that everywhere we go now all the technology is getting better and better.

PLN SEMESTER 2 PLN 6

Today I read an article called FIFA to discuss Taylor ban with English FA. This matters because all taylor have recieved so far is a 3 game ban. Taylor was involved in a play during a game that left Eduardo da Silva with a broken leg and a dislocated ankle. They only have 2 options really. One is they coud ban him for like or they coud ban him until the player he hurt is able to play and recovered. Since the injury Eduardo has accepted taylor's aplology for the injury that might cost him his career. This matters because it shows that even though it ended up really bad at least they can both be cool with each and forgive him for the injury.

PLN SEMESTER2 PLN 5

Today I read an article called Green Pepsi, indeed by Julie Poppen. This article matters because they are taking a big step in saving our environment. This article talks about how the pepsi center will have enough energy to offset its use. They will install solar panels, give preferred parking to people with hybrids and have more recycling in their building. This matters because it shows that even big corporations and big building will go to great lenghts to save the environment.

PLN 4 Semester 2

This week I read an Article called LG VX9700 looks to be Verizon's Prada-like touchscreen phone. This matters because in our world today everyone is looking to have the newest and lastest and greatest phones. This article is saying everyone wants the voyagers of the venus with a touchscreen but not a brick in their pocket. That why with verizon's new lg vx9700 it will have the same great features just not the huge size. This is why this matters.

PLN 1 semster 3

For PLN #3 I read an article called Aurora firefighters send help to mexican collegues by Carlos Illescas. This matters becuase it shows how american can help people that are less fortunite than use living in third world countries. This article talks about some firefighters that live in Aurora over the past year have collected over fifty thousand dollars in used fire equitment to give to volunter firefighters that have been fighting fires without any protections for years. It justs shows that people are all benefiting form this kind of protection and yet some people are probably getting burned. Also without good equitment many more people are probably dieing because they can not go into fires to save people when they are not on good equiment. This is why this matters to the world.

Goals For Second Semester

For the Second Semester I have many goals I would like to achieve. For one I would like to get at least a b in your class. I know that i can achieve this if I do more of my homework and spend more time on it and after last semester a b would be nice. Also I would like to be more involved in the class. Also I would like to get better at my PLN's for this semester.I need to be more detailed about what matters to me.These are my goals for this semester and I know I can achieve them if I put in some effort.
